Mounted Horseshoe With Candle Holder

A beautiful yet simple design made from two used horseshoes. One shoe acts as the base, the other the upright. Every horseshoe, your own or ours, is hand cleaned to retain marks of wear and will come supplied with a glass tea light holder with tea light candle.

Place behind the horseshoe and light to create a beautiful effect.

Personalisation is available on this item for names or dates. It is hand stamped and will generally be placed centrally on the front of the upright shoe. However if using your own shoe different makes and types of shoe may have more or less room for the text so we may need to discuss placement with you once your shoe arrives.

This piece makes a touching keepsake of a precious horse, an apt accent piece for the home or an equestrian themed table decoration for a wedding.

The Process

These are created from genuine, used, ‘lucky’ horseshoes. Each horseshoe is heated to burn away rust and then gently cleaned by hand to maintain marks of character. Folklore states that only used horseshoes are considered lucky because the luck is struck into them with every footfall of the horse.

Packaging

Your order will arrive with you in a branded cotton gift bag.

We aim to use wherever possible 100% recyclable card & paper packaging, including the tape on the postal boxes, so you can pop it all into the recycling bin once you order arrives safely with you.

Lead time

The lead time for these hand made items is approximately 3 weeks.

For horseshoe creation lead times please bear in mind we are not Amazon! Please be understanding of the time, effort and care that goes into what we do. Each item is individually handcrafted. We do not bulk create and we do not buy in and resell. We make and create everything we offer here.

The majority of our pieces are hand forged and crafted to order.

In general please allow 3 weeks lead time for dispatch of your order. We do endeavour to be as quick as we can while taking time on the art we create. We combine Horseshoe Hearts work alongside farriery (and any emergencies that occur with this!) and other work, family life and our own animals.

Please allow 4/6 weeks lead time for Braided Horsehair items and Horseshoe Photo Frames.

Some larger pieces and larger bespoke orders may take longer lead time.

Please Note: If using your own horse’s shoes delivery lead times are from the date your shoes are received by us, not the order date. Please ensure shoes arrive with us as promptly as possible.

Sending your own shoes:

The address to send your horseshoes to is Horseshoe Hearts, 3 Cromer Close, Little Gaddesden, Herts, HP4 1PR. Please include a note with your name and order number so we know they are your shoes.

On check out you will be given the option to select your item under 2kg to be sent to you via Royal Mail First Class Signed For or via Special Delivery. Please note the only Special Delivery is tracked. Signed For acknowledges when the item is sent and when the item was received. It is not a tracked service. If you are sending precious shoes we recommend Special Delivery or other Tracked and Signed Service.

All items over 2kg will be sent with a courier (usually UPS) and are sent on a tracked and signed service.

International Orders:

We are happy to ship to most locations worldwide. International Delivery is for International Standard delivery. Approx. transit/shipping time between 5-10 days depending on your location. We cannot guarantee shipping times.
