This is the item to pick if you have a horseshoe of your own that you would like restoring.

Or choose to have holes placed into your shoe so it can be hung from a wall and even add some text. Names and dates or a phrase are all popular. We do even have a hashtag stamp so you can use your favourite hashtags too for a bit of humour!

Whether you want to give the gift of luck for a house warming, wedding, graduation, or a keepsake of a precious horse, you can choose what you want to say to create a special and unique piece.

Folklore states that only used horseshoes are considered lucky as the luck is struck into them with every foot fall of the horse.

Each used horseshoe has nails removed then is heated in the forged and cleaned by hand to remove dirt, grit and rust. Every one is the buffed to bring to a natural gunmetal silver tone. Shades may vary according to the metal alloy the shoe is made from, some come up brighter than others. Personalisation is then hand stamped carefully onto each shoe.

When sending your own shoes depending on the style and type of shoe space may be limited and placement of text may vary to fit. If you would like to use your own shoe please bear in mind what flat surface may be available to stamp on. Do fill in a contact form and drop us a message if you are unsure.

You can choose whether to have holes placed in your shoe and hung from jute plait, linen ribbon or white ribbon – or you may wish to not have holes and a hanging material so you can place your horseshoe perhaps in a frame or on a box.

Please choose whether you would like the shoe to have the clips kept or removed. If wall hanging or mounting in a frame you may wish to have them removed so the shoe sits flat on a surface.

Each item is created to order so please allow an approximate 2/3 week lead time.

Lead Times:

We aim to dispatch textile & gift voucher within 3 working days of receipt of your order.

For horseshoe creation lead times please bear in mind we are not Amazon! Please be understanding of the time, effort and care that goes into what we do. Each item is individually handcrafted. We do not bulk create and we do not buy in and resell. We make and create everything we offer here.

The majority of our pieces are hand forged and crafted to order.

In general please allow 3 weeks lead time for dispatch of your order. We do endeavour to be as quick as we can while taking time on the art we create. We combine Horseshoe Hearts work alongside farriery (and any emergencies that occur with this!) and other work, family life and our own animals.

Please allow 4/6 weeks lead time for Braided Horsehair items and Horseshoe Photo Frames.

Some larger pieces and larger bespoke orders may take longer lead time.

Please Note: If using your own horse’s shoes delivery lead times are from the date your shoes are received by us, not the order date. Please ensure shoes arrive with us as promptly as possible.

Sending your own shoes:

The address to send your horseshoes to is Horseshoe Hearts, 3 Cromer Close, Little Gaddesden, Herts, HP4 1PR. Please include a note with your name and order number so we know they are your shoes.

On check out you will be given the option to select your item under 2kg to be sent to you via Royal Mail First Class Signed For or via Special Delivery. Please note the only Special Delivery is tracked. Signed For acknowledges when the item is sent and when the item was received. It is not a tracked service. If you are sending precious shoes we recommend Special Delivery or other Tracked and Signed Service.

All items over 2kg will be sent with a courier (usually UPS) and are sent on a tracked and signed service.

International Orders:

We are happy to ship to most locations worldwide. International Delivery is for International Standard delivery. Approx. transit/shipping time between 5-10 days depending on your location. We cannot guarantee shipping times.
